This is incorrect. The issue is that Apple continually forces users to perform updates to the iOS on their iDevices - which locks them out of a way to return to a previous known, "Good Working iOS." iOS 8.1.3 and above have been nothing but complete nightmares for the end user and simply a marketing metric for Apple to say x million users have upgraded.
I have a car with built in bluetooth and several other blue tooth devices that my iPhone 6 running iOS 8.3 cannot pair with. I have older devices running iOS 5 and 7 that can pair perfectly with all of my bluetooth devices and my car - the downside is that these devices are no longer on a cellular network and I use them for testing purposes.
It is apparent based on all of the issues mentioned in this forum that everyone is having similar issues and gets the problem is software related and not user related.
I have erased all data and information from my iPhone 6 and refreshed my device as far as I can - I have deleted all network connection and shut down every service accept the Bluetooth and it is still not working. This is an Apple iOS Software Issue that started back with the release iOS 8 and was fixed in iOS 8.1.3. Not a user issue.
And 700 million users may not have the problem because not all 700 million users use bluetooth the same way as say X million users do. This troubleshooting and diagnostic is a throwback to the days of Mac OS 1 thru 9. I don't think people want to figure out if the Extensions they have running are creating a conflict or if they correctly terminated their scsi chain. So before you throw out 700 million users like a fact that "there must not be a problem, because you seem to be the only one" take a step back and check your arrogance at the door before you reply - I don't care what level you have on these boards. I have been using and supporting mac and apple devices since the beginning and the fact that with all of my experience and knowledge I have to come to a support board to see if there has been a solution and find your garbage replies is insulting .
