Is it possible to reduce the contrast and color saturation on the iMac display?

Is it possible to reduce the contrast and color saturation on the iMac display? I have a child with a visual disability who needs her display to have less visual stimulation. Do I create a new display calibration for her? If so, is there a good primer anywhere on how to do this? The Accessibility preference only allows one to increase the contrast.

Thanks!

If you open the Displays Pane in System Preferences, and then choose Color, you can calibrate it which will bring up the Calibration Assistant.
