yosemite update 10.10.3 Messages freezing
I updated to Yosemite 10.10.3 yesterday and since then when I open the messages my whole mac stops working and freezes.

I Had the same issue on two mac books
it turned out to be my virus checker . Was blocking access to the net. I have a version of mcfee and had to set an application exception rule. Did that o. Both machines and all is well
try turning all the virus checker elements off. And the one by one enable the. Remember to reboot after each one. I discovered it was the application protection causing the problem
