What are Ipod profiles, anyone?

I recently installed hotspot shield VPN and removed it because I thought it would give me wifi/cell service anywhere, as I was wrong. So I was wondering if there were any profiles to install that add cool functions without jailbreaking, kind of like that app did. I have a iPod touch 5th gen With the latest version of ios

I'm not looking for MORE VPNs I'm looking for other cool functions that are addons SUCH AS the app "hotspot shield VPN" does

Not sure you understand what Hotspot Shield is for. It's meant to protect you when using un-secure Wi-Fi hot spots such as coffee shops and airports. It protects your from hackers and internet thieves. It only works on Wi-Fi, not cellular. It does not provide you with Wi-Fi. It only provides a secure connection to a Wi-Fi hookup. It does not provide add-ons.

FWIW: This is a place you come to for help with Apple products. It is not a general help line for all things related to computing. We may be able to help you use Hot Spot Shield on your Mac, but we are not here to help with using Hot Spot Shield on any computer.

Your answer did help me much, thank you for that. I will probably install it again, BUT, are there any OTHER profiles that i can install "besides" hotspot shield that has great functions

Some apps install profiles, it is just part of the app. Thus, you question should not be what profile to install but what app you want to install. However, you did not clearly specify what you want to accomplish.
