Can I continue to highlight even when it ends on the next page

sometimes what I want to highlight the paragraph will end on the next page. So does iBooks allow you to continue highlighting without having to stop on one page then finish the highlight on the next. I'm hoping there's a way that ibook has a feature that will allow me to continue highlighting and will automatically go to the next page. different topic anyone know if iBook will become as good as kindle app?
