Q: Storage

my storage is running low, and most of it is taken up by "other" (the rest being photos, apps etc.)  What is included in "other", and how can I reduce it?

"Other" is one of Apple's idea I find I like not at all because it is just about totally worthless.

 

You can try OmniDiskSweeper which will tell your the names of the files and folders that are using the most space on your disk. Once you know the names of the heavy users of disk space then you start to make some intelligent decisions about what to do the clear off the disk space.
