how to convert shared albums into regular albums

I used to use Shared albums (with entering a sharing email address) to transfer my pictures taken with my iPhone to the cloud and to my iMac.

This allowed me to organize my pictures from my iPhone, and once added to a shared album I could delete the pictures from my iPhone, thus saving space.

Now with the iCloud Photo Library I no longer need this workaround.

I would now like to Convert 100 Shared albums into Regular albums, who will then be loaded into the cloud like all my future albums.

Is there an easy way to do this?

iPhone 6, iOS 8.1

I'm interested in converting shared albums to regular albums without having duplicate photos in Photos on my Mac. This is similar to the original question - I'm curious if you found a work around or if there is any update on how to convert shared albums to regular albums without duplicating all the photos (or re-finding them in your regular camera role and re-creating the album)...

Thanks!
