Q: import iPhoto library from external drive into photos os x
My iPhoto library is on an external hard drive. How do you import an iPhoto library from an external drive into Photos for OS X. It does not show up when i first open the application, nor am I able to choose the library from the import function.

Hold down the OPTION key while opening Photos. You will get a dialog to select a library. Select the one on your external drive. After it is migrated Photos will create a new Photos Library. If it doesn't appear on the external drive, then look for it in your /Home/Pictures/ folder.
