Help!

I Received an email saying someone has used my Apple ID to buy an app and they're based in Morocco, which obviously im not. How can I find out if this email is real, and how do I find out if they did use my account? I can't check my bank, because I don't do online banking.

iPhone 6, iOS 8.2

It is a phishing attempt. Do not respond. Do not divulge any personal or financial information. You can use the address below to forward the suspect email message to Apple.
