Apple Configurator for Windows

Hey Zartag, a little secret from the biggest repair tech in los angeles.... Get an old toothbrush with 95% denature alcohol and scrub a lil bit of alcohol into all the charger ports and of course make sure they all have a working battery that charges. This process also fixes charging issues... 😉

Unfortunately Apple does not have a version of configurator available for Windows. It would appear Apple will no longer be supporting the iPhone Configuration Utility. Yes, that is a shame. I will need to tell our hospital to stop buying Apple products immediately. Guess we got burnt on the 50+ Corporate and 100+ BYOD iPhones we got suckered into buying.

Is there an other way to edit *.mobileconfig files on a windows box? My company surely won't by a Mac for that purpose only. The latest iPhoneConfigUtility won't start any more, saying "... failed to locate Apple Mobile Device Support. Please reinstall ...", which, of course, doesn't help. One more reason not to use i-Devices or BYODs in a managed windows mono-culture environment. Happy supporting!

I found a solution.
At first delete eferything with "Apple" in name including configuration utility and iTunes (I recomend UnistallTool)
Than remove "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple" (Or "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple" for 32 bit windows)
Than install Configuration Utility again
Do not update anything
