Q: macbook air screen issues

I have a mid 2012 MBA. 2 weeks ago, a 2 inch vertical band of staticky lines appeared on screen. Is there anything I can do besides replacing the screen? I've reset the PRAM a number of times, lines still there. Any ideas? Out of warranty, looking for solutions apart from buying a new screen or MBA.
