Q: [URGENT] Can't Escape Recovery Mode (iPod)
I have a problem with getting out of recovery mode on my iPod. I tried to update it on my Windows 8 version of iTunes, and it got to recovery mode, but won't update OR restore to factory settings. My internet connection is great, I have the newest version of iTunes, it just will not get to a point where the iPod leaves recovery mode. It says its unknown error 3004, and I can't really find any specific information or cases online where people had the same problem and fixed it. My computer is again a PC running Windows 8 (Acer Aspire V, plenty of space, AMD Dual-Core Processor A6-5357M), and my iPod is the 5th gen.
I have done the following steps to fix the issue:
Click "update"
Restart computer
Sign out of iTunes
Click "restore to factory settings"
Uninstall iTunes and reinstall
Done both options in this article - http://www.macworld.com/article/2028610/restoring-a-very-stubborn-ipod-touch.htm l
I have just attempted to update my computer to Windows 8.1, we'll see if that helps
I want to try restoring my iPod on a different computer's iTunes and then syncing it back to see if it's the computer that's the problem.
I haven't been able to try anything on my iPod because it's been stuck in recovery mode.
If you have a solution or need any more information, please reply.
