So where are my original photos?

What happens if I do delete my original IPhoto library after I migrate to Photos? Will I still be able to access my photos through IPhoto?

This is the absolute worst rollout of a new program I have ever experienced at Apple. Events are also missing from the new program.....except there is a folder labeled IPhone events. How do I set up events in Photos? What a mess.😠

If you delete your iPhoto Library then no, you will not be able to access your Photos through iPhoto.

But you will via Photos.

Events are no longer a feature, they've been replaced by 'Moments'. The Folder iPhoto Events contains albums that were automatically created from your iPhoto Events.

Things are different. You'll need to rethink things if you're going to use the app.

Thanks...I'm still in shock over the changes. Maybe I'll calm down when I really understand it. But I had some expectation that Apple would build an app that took off from IPhoto without completely changing the basics in terms of photo management. I understand now that "albums" can replace events, but I don't understand "moments". Can they be renamed to a specific event? How are the "moments" determined?
