How to back up ripped songs from iPod to iTunes?

i recently bought a new laptop PC and authorized it and deauthorized all computers i previously had iTunes account on. now on my new laptop im trying to backup my iPod. i can back up all the songs i bought from iTunes. but now the songs that i ripped from CDs to iTunes on my previous computer that are on my iPod wont transfer to my new library and no notifications pop up telling my i have content i cant transfer they just stay on my iPod.

how do i back up my ripped songs to my library?

iPod touch (4th generation), iOS 6.1.6

You should transfer your library from your old computer (or a backup of it) - see How to move your iTunes library to a new computer - Apple Support. While it is possible to transfer media from an iPod - see turingtest2's user tip on Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device - iDevices are neither designed nor suitable as data storage devices.
