gee-that's an interesting question. usually, if you have part of a video and there's a section in slow motion and you don't want it to be like that, then yes, iMovie would work fine. start a new project, import the video, drag it in to the working area, turn on advanced controls, see if you can select just the part of the video that's in slow motion, and only that part, speed it up, save the changes and then export/share the whole video. For safety's sake, work on a copy of the video and not the original. That's how I'd try to do it, anways--i could be wrong though. I don't know of anything else out there that could do basic video editing, such as speeding up or removing just one part of a video that's in slow motion. I'm sure there might be such things out there, but I don't know of them right now. If you can, after you install iMovie, maybe borrow one of those books that are supposed to help you or to teach you how to use iMovie. Usually they have a yellow cover on 'em and say ******* for newbies, something like that. I'm not implying in any way that you aren't smart--you probably are-but it might be helpful here to read up on a few things before giving iMovie a try. For me, it's a good program, but it takes a bit of getting used to, some trial and error, and some work on your part, but if you work at it, and practise a few times, I'm sure you'll get the hang ot it.
good luck to you
