First, I know there have been some postings on this issue and I tried some of them with no success, so I'm making this post with hopes there may be better solutions.

I recently purchased a new iMac (20 inch, core 2 duo) and having problems printing on my Samsung ML-1710 printer. The funny thing is it had worked fine for about 2 weeks, then just stopped working.

Here's a sequence of events. After I bought the iMac, I trasferred all my profile, files, apps, etc using the migration utility the very first time u start a new mac. The older Mac was iMac G5. Anyway, everything seemed to be working fine, including printing. Then a few days ago the printer wouldn't work.

I tried reinstalling the driver, but the printer utility won't see the driver. I tried launching the printer utility from Rosetta, and still no result, it won't see the printer.

As a side, I tried plugging in my HP deskjet and that works fine. However, we really need our Samsung laser printer because it's our work horse in our home office.

Anyone have any suggestions?
