Apr 15, 2015 2:09 PM in response to miaowsoftkittayby ianhalmond,I got Bose headphones and they worked fine on IOS side and when I got windows to play my games the headset worked but the microphone didn't detect just as yourself. I figured out you need to buy an adapter that you put your headset plugs into and on the other end is a usb so you use your headphones in the usb jack instead of the headphone jack. It's an issue related to windows that makes it so microphones on headsets don't work if they are in the headset jack. Also it's related something to the optical laser etc... All I know is that I spent a while trying to fix this and the only possible way was to get that adapter. Hope this helps also I could link the amazon link if you want to see the one I got.

Apr 15, 2015 2:33 PM in response to ianhalmondby miaowsoftkittay, thanks for your response
im just frustrated because it worked for me right up until the last update.
I have been looking at what youre talking about, im just worried it wont work for me because i have a macbook pro and all my usb slots are taken.
so i would need an extender of some sort and i dont know whether they will work through that
i spose thats something i can ask the store that i go to

Apr 15, 2015 2:41 PM in response to miaowsoftkittayby Loner T,The recognition of TRRS in Windows does not work, even though the hardware supports it, as you see it working on the SSX side, on the same hardware. The link I posted earlier has the TRS v TRRS explanation and M$ link.

Apr 15, 2015 3:44 PM in response to miaowsoftkittayby Loner T,Do you want to try going back to the original BC drivers for your Mac - System requirements to install Windows on your Mac via Boot Camp - Apple Support and test?
-
Apr 15, 2015 4:39 PM in response to Loner Tby miaowsoftkittay,is that not what we did yesterday? from the BC usb all the drivers were checked and installed
considering i did a fresh install of windows with BC right before posting this issue i dont think that will help
would a windows system restore or anything of that nature help?

Apr 15, 2015 4:58 PM in response to miaowsoftkittayby Loner T,Can you right-click on the current driver and post the version number? Do you happen to have an Apple headset with microphone? Can you test it, if you have one?
