Faces data doesn't sync in iCloud Photo Library

While I've been very impressed with how iCloud Photo Library works across multiple devices, I was terribly disappointed to learn that Faces data doesn't sync between Macs. I seeded iCloud Photo Library by importing my 90GB Aperture Library on a Mac mini that I have hosted with one of the Mac mini providers (since that Mac has a fat pipe access to the internet as opposed to my anemic home ADSL connection.)

While all of my Faces data from Aperture is available on _that_ Mac (where I don't need it), it is not available on the MacBook Air that I use on a daily basis.

This Apple support article confirms that the data doesn't sync, but I've discovered that some Faces _data_ does sync; e.g. if I search for a name on my MacBook Air, results are found and categorized as type "Face", but the corresponding Face album obviously isn't there.

Here's to hoping that Apple eventually sync Faces data.

I have the same concern. It is strange, because although the face album is not synced, and the faces don't appear on the individual photos in the library of the "destination" mac, if you search for a name, all the relevant pictures show up. Same thing on iphone and ipad. It's pretty good already, but I wish the actual face location and outline would also be embedded in the picture file.
