imovie camcorder

I updated to OX 10.10 and now discover that my IMovie camcorder does not work. It refers me to plug in a external resource. Is there something else I am not seeing in order to record directly in the Imovie App?

I understand that you are trying to record video directly into iMovie. This can be done by either using the built-in camera on your Mac or by using an external iSight camera. For further information on this process, please read over the attached link.

Hi Joe. Yes, I was able to use the built in camera PRIOR, however, now it doesn't. It gives me a pop up error to plug in my external camera device.

What does this mean?
