That was kind of what I was asking, Allan. I use this for my writing business.
Can't afford to screw it up, and Niel's suggestion above is a bit above my tech level.
Anything simpler available?
What suggestion would that be? Niel has not posted anything in this thread.
No matter what you do, made SURE you have a good backup before you do it.
My files are backed up on a commercial server, and I have the original Snow Leopard OS disc if i have to go back to that.
My question is: does my iMac -- 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (Memory 2 GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM) -- contain sufficient capability to run the latest OS?
Niel suggested partitioning my drive, apparently in another forum, for Yoesmite. i'm not that technically advanced.
