The App Store Yosemite 10.10.3 update is known as a “delta” update. It will only update systems already running 10.10.2. The “combo” update will update any Yosemite version from 10.10.0 through 10.10.2. The combo update contains all changes that have accumulated since the initial release of Yosemite. Sometimes applying the combo update will fix lingering problems from previous updates, sometimes not. Using the combo update doesn’t require you to move incrementally from 10.10.0 to 10.10.1 to 10.10.2 to 10.10.3. You can do it all at the same time.

Thanks!  The information you just provided, I could not find any answers on the website. Hmmm, I ended up downloading the regular update. In trying to update through the App Store updater, it was saying 8+ hours to download. I just manually downloaded it in 3 minutes!

Lots of reports of slow downloading through the App Store. Not sure why that is or what’s going on.

I usually prefer to download the updates anyway, as I have 3 systems, and prefer to save the bandwidth with downloading once. Thanks again for your help.
