Q: .mxf and .scc files

So here's my stats.  Using FCP 7 and Compressor 3.5 (heard about the nightmares of X and never wanted to touch it).

I've been outputting to mpeg files and transcoding with an .scc file hasn't been an issue.  Now the station is asking for IMX/MXF files.  I've tried every trick I can think of.  Tried "New Job with Target Output", and still the .scc gets stripped away.  So my question is, will FCP X/Compressor 4 work with IMX/MXF files AND .scc files or am I relegated to taking this "out of house"?

So my solution was edit and export the mxf in FCPX.

Take the .scc file from rev.com (they are awesome. $1 / min and do a great job and fast turn around).

To combine them though, I paid for Premier Pro. $20 / month. They can take the MXF from FCPX and the .scc file and then export that into a new MXF that will contain the close captioning.

When will FCPX be able to do this? Good question.

By the way. I used to be a FCP7 guy years ago. FCPX is fantastic now. You should get it. No need for compressor and no render times.
