Q: Can I delete my iPhoto and Aperture libraries after moving to Photos?

After moving to Photos, can I delete my iPhoto and Aperture libraries? If I can, is there any good reason not to?

Yes, and yes.

 

Having an archival backup is always a good idea. External storage is VERY inexpensive, so archiving off your current library for safekeeping for 6-12 months minimum is a really, really good idea. I mean, unless you wouldn't be upset at all if you lost all your photos
