removing nVidia GForce 8800 card??

i am trying to remove this card from my mac pro 1,1 and the instructions in step 3 seem to say to gently rock it back and force after taking off the PCI slot cover above it. however, my card seems to be stuck about 3/4 of the way back of the card from the PCI slot at the back/bottom of the card. i can't figure out if it is hung up on something or if it is actually attached there. i'm a little concerned it is rubbing against the inside of the back of the box which i am sure is not a good thing.

also, i've already managed to spring all the other PCI slot covers in an attempt to get it back into place and at this point googling does not seem to turn up any help. these are the instructions i was using and everything else shows the 8800 /install/

it does not appear to be hung up on the connection cables.

does anyone have any recommendation here? should i just keep working it?

THANKS
