you ARE correct about how it doesnt have AM radio, but it doesn't actually have a built in antenna/reciever, it uses the headphones for it
It does use the headphone or auxiliary cable as an antenna but it does have a built in receiver.

I stand corrected, but if we are going to be as specific as possible, as deggie indicated, the cable is the antenna, not the headphones. 😁
but isn't the cable part of the headpones 😉
I sure would like to use the FM feature on my Nano with BlueTooth wireless headphones...but alas, that is not possible without the antenna, ah, er, the cable. 😉
hmm.... i think it's just the headphone jack that it uses, so if you get wireless headphones with an adapter to go in a headphone port, it might still work
No it isn't it uses the cable as the antenna. I'm not sure what "adapter" you are referring to that Bluetooth headphones come with but if you insert a jack it transfer the feed to the cable and cancel the BT stream.
on some wireless headphones, they have adapters instead of just being bluetooth
Hard to find those much anymore but they usually have a USB dongle. Even if they had a headset jack they would not work as an antenna, not long enough.
