How do I copy all 400 of my pdf files from ibooks to my computer

Over the last 5 years I have emailed myself 400+ pdf documents. I open them and save in ibooks.

I need to connect my ipad to itunes (via usb) and copy all 400 of these PDF documents to my windows 7 computer.

I've spent 30 minutes looking for a solution online but have not found a solution.

If necessary, I will purchase a reasonably priced app to accomplish this. However the app has to do exactly what I need it to do without a bunch of convoluted non-sense.

If they are in the iBooks app then connecting your iPad to your computer's iTunes and doing File > Devices > Transfer Purchases should copy them over to the Books part of your iTunes library - that should copy PDFs and/or epubs that are in the iBooks app, not just ibooks from the iBookstore.

I need instructions for Windows 7. (The instructions you gave are for MAC. I did my best to do the windows equivalent but was unsucessful)

The instructions are the same whether it's a PC or a Mac, what happened when you did it ?

Found it. Looks like windows 7 itunes has "menu bar" hidden by default.

I went to the small square icon/menu in the upper left and changed the 'menu bar' setting to "show menu bar". Then the horizontal 'file' menu appears.
