EVeryone has their preference, but. Do not like the new 'Photos' that came with the latest upgrade on my iMac.

1. Can I remove the 'Photos' program and revert to using the much preferred iPhoto.

IF not

2. How do I make iphoto the default program when I connect cameras etc.

i hope someone can help me.

Removing it means using the Terminal. It doesn't use much space. Ignore it.

You can launch iPhoto and continue as you were.

You can set it as the default when you connect your camera etc in the iPhoto Preferences or the Image Capture (in the Applications Folder) Preferences.
