Are my 320Kbps songs deleted or replaced with 256Kbps versions?

I've got a meticulously groomed iTunes Library with over 18,000 songs, perfect tags and accurate album artwork. Most, if not all of my library consists of 320Kbps bitrate songs. In fact, the lowest bitrate that can be found in my library is 256Kbps on a few things. Question is, will activating iTunes Match throw my iTunes Library into chaos in some way? Also, will it count against the 200gb's of additional storage I subscribe to...? I suspect not, but have to ask...

Hi,

iTunes match scans your iTunes library to determine what tracks are matched and what needs to be uploaded. It does not touch the files that are in your library and on your computer unless you opt to delete and download matched version which will be 256Kbps. If the track is uploaded it will be uploaded as is except if the tracks is AIFF, ALAC or WAV when it will be transcribed to 256 Kbps.

Matched tracks that you stream will be at 256 kbps but uploaded tracks will be the same as your original.

iTunes match does not use your cloud storage. The only limit is 25K for non iTunes purchased tracks.
