MMy Touch ID will not recognize fingerprints. I've tried deleting the original fingerprints but now it doesn't recognize my attempts to enter new prints.

Check out the advice here -> https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201371

At the bottom is the recommendation that, if you are unable to register any fingerprints, to have Apple look at your device.
