Yes by using a displayport/mini displayport connection on the monitor or if the monitor has dual-link DVI you need a dual link mini displayport to DVI adopter (about $99)

Hi zBritva,

I have a similar setup using a Mac Book Pro, however I cannot get the LG to be detected properly by the Mac. You mentioned you got it to work by editing a configuration file. What file was it and what settings did you give it? I am using the same Monitor with a 4k MDP to HDMI adapter. Any information on "how to" would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jack
