How can I restore my mac before that last download the new Photos is pure garbage, and I want my iPhoto back on.

I hate this new Photos garbage. When I try to post new pics to my friends it brings up the old iPhoto selection screen, and of course my new photos, are in the New Photos area, and it won't allow you to choose them, unless I want to use the cloud. I don't want to use the cloud. I want to do it the way we always used to be able to do it. So can you show me how to go back to a restore point, before that last unless update, so I can get rid of it.

Erase the drive and restore your previous system from your backup.

if you have a time machine backup you can use that otherwise as already stated by Kappy, the downgrade process is a "wipe the drive clean and start over" process.

When I had Photos issues I was able to find the old pre-upgrade photo library using finder in the same location as the new library and used the open with option and chose iPhoto.

No longer works. Seems Apple has closed the door on iPhoto.

Check the App Store Purchases tab to see if iPhoto is there. If so, download it. I downloaded the application about 10 minutes ago.
