Hello Wayne, i go to https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/numbers/id409203825?mt=12&ls=1
i get a pop up the says: the link needs to be opened with an application
Send To (and a drop down menu)
or Choose an application
Open the App store from the menu
then type "Numbers" in the search field (top right). Now you can choose to install Numbers. You must have 10.9 to install Numbers 3.x
