Correct. Apple removed it when Photos came out.

You cannot buy Aperture anymore, but updating should work. Do you already own any version of Aperture 3?
Then you may be able to reinstall from the Purchases tab of the AppStore.
Hi Léonie, yes I do own a version of Aperture 3
Updating seems impossible...
But thanks! anyway

You may need to move Aperture to a location not indexed by Spotlight, or delete it completely, before you can get it from the Purchases tab.

Deen,
there has been a glitch with the update to Aperture 3.6 for people in European countries. For some countries it was necessary to set the language and region in the Language & Region System Preferences to English US and to restart the mac for Aperture to show on the Purchases tab to "accept" or on the Updates page.
If you cannot update Aperture from the Purchases tab even after moving the older version to the Trash and restarting the Mac, give the AppStore support a call, using the "Support" link under Quick Links on the main AppStore page.

It is hard to predict what will still work, now that Aperture is no longer sold, but installing the current updates in the current system should still be possible,
I have Aperture 3.5.1 on some of my machines but 3.6 on another one...I can't find 3.6 in either the Downloads area or the Purchases area of AppStore so I can download it and upgrade all my computers....where can I get the upgrade? [in US]
Did you ever purchase Aperture via the Mac App Store? If not, contact AppleCare, and they should be able to add it to your purchased tab.
Thank you Léonie,
I do have good working Aperture 3.5.1 on some macbook pro's, but they use Maverick. Even those are not updateble anymore.
After all i find Yosemite really disappointing and time consuming.
i don't give up and go to Apple.

I do have Aperture in the AppStore but it wouldn't download = I did copy over the 'new' 3.6 version and may try it out when time permits = it was just a drag drop copy so it may or may not work. Thanks. If there's a problem I'll check with Applecare = I only have one machine that is not using 3.6.

Was there no install button on the Purchased tab?
It will only download, if you remove all installed Aperture apps (drag them to trash, disconnect backup drives) and then reload the AppStore Purchase page with ⌘R.
But your copied Aperture 3.6 version should work anyway.
Hi Léonie,
This worked, I now have my old Aperture 3.6 working on Yosemite 10.10.3
Apple Enterprise told me there will be a better solution engineered asap...
Splendid, THANK YOU Léonie! you made my day!!!
Kind regardfs,

You're welcome 🙂
