How do I copy a photo into a word document. Can't do this with the photos app?

Hi, I've always been able to copy a photo from iPhoto into a word document.


I can no longer do this with photos app.


I have tried cutting and pasting and also trying to import directly from word but never work.


I am sure there is no coincidence that another software I used (Comic Life) is no longer compatible with Photos app.


Really frustrating.....please can someone help!

Not a fan of this "improvement" from Apple!

Try reading the thread - there are two answers - both work


Using Photos

You could drag and drop the photo to the desktop and then into word (won't be the original) or Export modified or original from the menus, but what was once easy will currently take a few more steps.

Insert Menu -> Photos -> From Browser
