How do I copy a photo into a word document. Can't do this with the photos app?

Hi, I've always been able to copy a photo from iPhoto into a word document.

I can no longer do this with photos app.

I have tried cutting and pasting and also trying to import directly from word but never work.

I am sure there is no coincidence that another software I used (Comic Life) is no longer compatible with Photos app.

Really frustrating.....please can someone help!

No this is no longer possible.

You could drag and drop the photo to the desktop and then into word (won't be the original) or Export modified or original from the menus, but what was once easy will currently take a few more steps.

There was another thread along the same lines as yours - I don't recall a solution, the problem is that certain things that seem not to work might be achieved in other ways or via more hidden options - give TD's solution a go if you haven;t tried, it may work for you.

Your loosing me a bit now...not a techy! Time machine ia not working either since the upgrade and I know I am not alone there from other posts.....so no back up currently available.

Hopefully apple will issue another update (as what usually happens) to fix these issues? Appreciate your help though!🙂

I tried opening Photos. I can see the icon for iPhoto Library and for Photo library but both are grayed out. Is there a solution to importing a photo from Photos to a Word Doc? I did not see it in this thread.

Not a fan of this "improvement" from Apple!

Try reading the thread - there are two answers - both work

Using Photos

You could drag and drop the photo to the desktop and then into word (won't be the original) or Export modified or original from the menus, but what was once easy will currently take a few more steps.
