Flickering after 10.10.3 upgrade

I use a Mac Mini with two Apple Thunderbolt Displays.

After the 10.10.3 upgrade suddenly some random coloured bars started to appear in various random points on one of the two displays.

Moving the window where the flickering appears or moving another window over the flickering makes it disappear.

To have a look at how the flickering looks like please see this short video:

I'm wondering if anybody else is facing the same problem and if there is a way to fix it as its becoming quite annoying.

Thank you!

Add me too..I think it's safe to say now that everyone is experiencing this. I have 6 more Mac Mini's in my office that are all experiencing this after the update.

ALSO to note on the Cold Restarts..I have them on my machine but believe its related to the new PHOTOS app and converting my old iPhoto Library (200gb).

People with the Cold Restarts: Is your iPhoto Library being upgraded when your Mini gets kicked in the d*ck?

This morning a couple of panic restarts for me as well 😠

I read somewhere that the new Photos app can crash the system when trying to import lot of images. I was not importing anything but both crashes happened right when I was closing Photos.

Anyways, I have now the doubt that flickering might be related to the GPU temperature getting too high. So I've just installed Macs Fan Control – a free app that let you control the fan pending on various temperatures.

Its a free app you can get here:

I set the app to raise the fan RPM when the GPU goes above 70ºC (150ºF) – will report in few days if this fixed the flickering issue...
