Are you also experiencing cold restarts? Here's another related thread: Cold restarts after 10.10.3 update.

Apr 19, 2015 3:21 AM in response to [GeorgeT]by MrCamaleo,HI George,
luckily no cold restarts for me and, apparently, the flickering is gone after the additional 10.10.3 update released on April, 17.
if the flickering or any other issue appears again I will update this discussion.

Apr 19, 2015 3:27 AM in response to MrCamaleoby [GeorgeT],You're luckier than I am then
I also hoped that the 10.10.3 Supplemental Update released on Apr 16th would help, but unfortunately it didn't

Apr 19, 2015 10:43 AM in response to MrCamaleoby Brian_SD,I'm experiencing the exact same issue, and even have had a couple panic restarts, which never happened before. I came on the forums to find if others were having the same issues, and looks like they are. These issues actually started after the supplemental update for me.

Apr 21, 2015 7:41 PM in response to Brian_SDby MacGallant, same here for me too. except my flashing bars are not colored bars but black bars and this started today and never happened before. and I too had 2 kernal panics-- one when both my mac mini's dual monitors went blank and then kernel panicked and the another when i was using safari.
I am running Mac OS X 10.10.3 Yosemite with the latest updates.

Apr 21, 2015 8:12 PM in response to MrCamaleoby MacGallant, have any of you guys tried a pram reset in addition to the smc reset?
-
Apr 21, 2015 10:58 PM in response to MacGallantby MrCamaleo,No I haven't but the flickering seem solved after the additional update, also I am not experiencing any restart.
Maybe it worth to try both resets. Please let me know, even if the problem is gone for me Im curious to know if you all find a solution at the end.

Apr 25, 2015 2:39 AM in response to MrCamaleoby MrCamaleo,UPDATE
it looks like the flickering appears when I have more than one Goolge Chrome – Version 42.0.2311.90 (64-bit) – windows open.
When I reduce all the windows, except one, the flickering does not appear anymore.
Can somebody confirm this behaviour?

Apr 26, 2015 4:35 PM in response to MrCamaleoby Brian_SD,Just found my Mac Mini had a panic restart while it was sleeping. Happened sometime in the last three days.
I guess I should also add that this is a late 2012 model. 2.6 i7, 16 gigs RAM. As someone else mentioned, this unit has been rock stable for almost a year until these specific updates, and now the odd graphic bar glitching and restarts are happening.

Apr 27, 2015 4:51 AM in response to MrCamaleoby Isra,I've had this problem as well.
I haven't noticed a pattern yet, but I've had a problem with all apps crashing after an extended Sleep. The last time the flickering bars appeared was also I was away from the computer for a couple of hours.
The flickering bars appeared, then when I tried to launch an app from the dock, i got a panic restart.
