alignment tag
when moving an object, like a line for example, a black tag pops up and tells you the x and y coordinates. how can you turn that off?

Keynote > Preferences > Rulers: deselect the Show Size and Position option
you would think but thats not it.
i still get the tag when im moving a line with that de-selected.

The size and position information can be turned off in Keynote 5 and all versions of 6.
What version are you using?

Try resetting Keynote; perform all the steps in the order listed:
i did it all, used appcleaner, and did the reboot as described. then went in and turned off all the preferences and no luck
Ah yes now I see your grab, these are connection lines, they are forced to show angle and vector pixel.
I guess they are forced to stay on as they display vector information.
yeah i hate it. oh well, thanks for the try. i like app cleaner too...
