How can I stop a running file encryption in progress and turn off file vault?
File encryption is running on my MacBook within File Vault and I can't stop the encryption and cancel file vault, any suggestions?
MacBook, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)
Boot to the Recovery Volume (command - R on a restart or hold down the option/alt key during a restart and select Recovery Volume). Open Disk Utility/File/Turn off encryption.
