Hi - I'm trying to download an app to my iphone but it says my password or ID is not recognised. I've changed my password and it works on my laptop. I think it could be because the ID on my phone is googlemail while on my macbook it's gmail

Hi - I'm trying to download an app to my iphone but it says my password or ID is not recognised. I've changed my password and it works on my laptop. I think it could be because the ID on my phone is googlemail while on my macbook it's gmail - how do I change the apple ID on my phone?
