How is this possible that apple's latest device got dead.
It was 24% charge i last saw . I opened settings and it get stunned then i pressed sleep button ( on right side). When i again pressed to start then it did not start . My most important data and some precious photos are gone. I never ever expect this from apple inc.

Plug it in to power - see if it charges.
If it fails to work take it back to where you purchased it or make an appointment at a genius bar.

You have to back up your own data - you can't blame Apple if data gets lost, all devices have the potential to fail, even new Apple devices. You have a warranty that will allow you to seek a replacement or you may be able to return it outright (there is a 14 day return policy on new devices IIRC).
Contact Apple ASAP.
