Match - upload from external drive

I just subscribed to iTune Match and changed my iTunes Media folder location from an internal drive iTunes Media folder on my main device to a different iTunes Media folder on an external drive. The only items that have uploaded were the handful of songs on the internal drive rather than the couple thousand songs on the external drive. How can I goose Match to mine this other trove of my music?
