Find my iPhone not working on my pc

I don't really expect a solution to this as I have seen MANY other users with the same problem.

'Find My iPhone' has stopped working on my pc. It works on my iPad, but not on my pc.

On the FMiP map there is a blank band about 1/3rd of the screen in height across the whole map. This of course is where the phone I am trying to locate is situated, so impossible to see. This has been going on for over a year, and is the reason my latest phone is a Samsung and my next pad will be an Android. I am open to be re-sold on Apple, but sincerely doubt that this can be fixed. I have tried before on this forum and all I get is lots of others with the same problem but no solution.
