Apple Health - does it work with anything??

Apple Health was a much touted feature when it launched. So far I've found it to be wildly unreliable and utterly frustrating. I've tried using it with LiveStrong MyPlate, Garmin Connect, Strava and Nike+. Emphasis hear is on "tried" because so far Apple Health has failed to properly sync with any of these apps. I've contacted all the app makers and verified that yes indeed I do have everything set correctly. This problem is squarely on Apple's shoulders to fix. Of course this being Apple there's no real way to get any actual support from them. I'm sure they'll just tell me I'm holding my device the wrong way. Seriously though, what happened to Apple being the company that used brag about their products just working and being reliable? Has anyone been able to get the Apple Health app to work reliably?

Apple Health does not work intuitively.

Here is an app that we all thought was a brilliant concept, but no, it is not supported directly by FitBit (as an example) who, have the best intuitive and feel good data of them all.

Apple has provided an interface by which all of us iPhone users can transport all of our health and well being data to a common receptacle. FitBit provide a brilliant interface and incentivised means for all of us to feel good about ourselves on an hourly basis. Why can't Apple and FitBit get together with data transfer, why is FitBit forcing me to buy an Apple watch, I don't need a watch, it is good not to have a weighty bracelet on my wrist, particularly one that is portrait when it should be landscape!!!!! We rely on sync solver to get out data to Apple Health, unfortunately it does not pick up all of the data. Whilst on data, same applies to Polar!!! Come on Apple, get your stuff together, don't purport to have the greatest thing since sliced bread when you sure as **** don't, shame on you.

Look forward to a reply

Apple makes HealthKit available. FitBit has chosen not to use it. So, your issue is with FitBit. You should give them your feedback.

And there's no reason that the watch "should" be in portrait or landscape. That's a aesthetic decision, a personal preference. Personally, I think landscape would be a bad choice as it would make the watch wider and make bending one's wrist back uncomfortable. But, that's why there are choices in the world.

Has tried with FitBit, I concur, you are correct.

Regards the iWatch, you are correct, aesthetically landscape is the best choice and, practically it is as well.

Best example is a woman wrist, small and guess what, on some the watch is almost wide than the wrist, makes the strap couple look ungainly and zi bet a little uncomfortable. If the watch was rotated 90° the whole user experience would be better and the look a lot less ungainly, in my humble opinion. But, thats the best of the choices in the world.

You can't be agreeing with me as I stated i thought landscape was a bad idea. I'm a woman with average-to-small wrists and I have the larger Apple Watch. Aesthetically, I prefer portrait and, from a practical perspective, I'd just end up taking screen shots if the watch were in landscape.
