How come I can't send audio message more than 10 seconds?

When I record an audio message it stops at 10 seconds. I have friends who have Iphones and they can record longer than 10 seconds. Why is it not happening to my phone?

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 8.3

Hello, maricrisf.

Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.

I understand that you are unable to send an audio message longer than 10 seconds. Try forcing all open applications to close and restart the device. Once this is done, test sending a message. If this does not work, could you tell me how much space you show available in Settings > General > About?

Force an app to close in iOS

Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Hi Meg,

I looked at similar thread pertaining to that and I tried moving my finger while recording it helped a little bit it stopped at the most under a minute. I have a friend who was able to record over 5 minutes. Granted he didn't have a screen protector at that time.

Does anyone know why the screen protector or the case hinders from it?

Thank you!
