Q: iCloud Photo Library manual sync to iPhone

Hello --

Is it possible to manually sync photo from iCloud Photo Library to my iPhone? I definitely do not want all the photos on my computer to show up on my phone, no matter how "optimally" they are sized.

Working with a MacBook Pro Retina Display, Yosemite 10.10.3, and an iPhone 4S. (Have not upgraded to iOS 8 yet due to reported WiFi issues... considering pulling the trigger depending on this iCloud answer and other factors. But if it ain't broke, don't fix it, etc.)

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4), iTunes 11.3

There is no option to have only some of your MacBook photos go to your phone if using iCloud Photo Library. It is all or nothing. One workaround would be to have 2 Photos libraries on your Mac and only turn on iCloud Photo Library on the smaller one -- the one with the photos you want on your phone. Well thanks, FoxFifth! Not the answer I was hoping for, but not unexpected. Guess I'll skip turning on iCloud Photo Library in Photos (and the iOS 8.3 update).
