Hello, every video i upload into iPhoto now comes with a slo-mo slider at the bottom. When the video is first imported the entire middle of it is "slo-mo". How do I disable slo-mo so that doesn't happen and the video will not sit in the slo-mo folder?

You only get that in the new Photos application in Yosemite that replaces iPhoto. And it's only on movies that were shot in Slo-Mo on the iPhone.
So check you setting in your i:none the next time you take a video.

Hey Old Toad, thanks for the reply. I shot this particular footage on a GoPro. No slo-mo available. Thoughts?
Must be the format of the GoPro file that triggers that feature.
