So I woke up to make the preorder and in my drowsy state didn't notice my email for Apple Pay was set to a deactivated Facebook account and never receive my confirmation email, but I have corrected it and did receive an that email, Thursday I want to say, that said they were working on my order and would receive it 4/24-5/8. I am fairly sure I ended the transaction at 12:03 Pacific Time.

No "it's coming" emails for me. Nope. Just processing and processing some more.

Definately some posturing here by Apple. One of two things is going on. Either they really can't meet demand or they have plenty on hand but want to generate media buzz which then generates more orders (aka they aren't selling like they hoped). It is highly unlikely that the largest company on the planet can't forecast sales. That just seems absolutely insane to me. So, it's the latter option. It's about the hype.

Has anyone received any update for the 42mm SB SS link bracelet? Order went in at 12:09PST and received a "June" shipping date. Has anyone's shipping been updated to a sooner date?

Yes, mine arrived this morning. I like it so far. Ironically, my pink one will be here tomorrow! I'll be returning that one.

My green Sport still hasn't flipped to "Shipped" status from "Preparing for Shipment", but my credit card was pinged for the watch and Apple Care about an hour ago, so I'm still hopeful it will go out today and be in my hands tomorrow. 😎

It seems that my 38mm Pink Sport is shipping from Harrisburg PA to Northwestern PA. It's currently in transit and should be delivered tomorrow between 10:30 AM-2:30 PM.✅

My order went to Preparing Sunday morning and then flipped to Shipped at almost 9:00pm that night. I'd be shocked if it didn't go out today. 🙂

@neonsox, I'm not convinced Apple is deliberately engineering free press hype from delivery delays. Apple announced huge quarterly earnings this week largely due to phone sales. Watch sales figures were not part of the fanfare directed at Wall Street. The news reports about the earnings call generally agree that Tim Cook dodged questions about watch sales volume and expressed none of the hype usually communicated with a new phone or laptop device. With respect to the delays in watch delivery, he said: "Right now demand is greater than supply so we are working hard to remedy that," and "I'm generally happy how we're moving on with the ramp."
