Q: Apple Watch Shipping Notices

Just curious if anyone has received a shipping notice yet for their Apple Watch If they were lucky enough to get an early delivery date (24th). I know if is probably a bit early but worth asking.

I got my order on on 4/10 at 12:03 PST - at least that is the time on the email from Apple acknowledging the pre-order. And no, as of this evening my status has not changed from Processing Your Order to Preparing for Shipment.

I sincerely doubt if anyone will see that update until at the earliest next week. And even if they do ship, Apple's policy in the past for new releases is that the shipping company does not deliver before the release date. (Now I am sure that there are some stories about a mistaken early delivery - or perhaps a hefty tip to the UPS or FEDEX driver......)

    Same boart as forge. 42mm SS Black sport band still processing. Ordered first three minutes. Nice to know im not alone at least.

    ordered mine by 12:03 PST on 4/10 and got a delivery window of 4/24-5/8. As of 6:00PM 4/20, my status changed to preparing for shipping and my debit card was charged. I'm not sure how I was lucky enough to get one of the first batch but I'm thankful!

    I ordered the 42 mm aluminum with green band at around 3:08 Eastern and I got a shipping time frame of 4/24-5/8 like everyone else. I just got a pending charge on my credit card and a preparing for shipment order status. I am assuming this means I will be getting my Watch on Friday.

     

    A friend of mine in Savannah, GA ordered an identical watch at about the same time (maybe a minute or two earlier) and he had the same changes appear to his account just now.

     

    Since they are charging our accounts I am assuming that means that our order status will switch to shipping shortly and that we will be getting our watches on 4/24. If they weren't shipping until next week or the week after, I think we would not have a pending charge yet.

    My card was charged today according to my Amex app, however no change on the shipping yet.  Either Apple is doing some really illogical stuff with these orders and everyone being in a different status or the computer is still processing everything.  One thing is for certain though, Apple knows who is going to be getting their watches on Friday.  They probably knew that within the first 12 hours of preorder.  The least that they could do is update peoples delivery windows to the appropriate date.  To not do so is unfair to their customers.

    And now all of a sudden it is Preparing to Ship.  FWIW, it took 2 hours from when my card was charged to get this status update.

    Hey, Josh... Chill for a little while. My bet is that they are preparing the most common watches first (aluminum, silver color) and then preparing the SS ones. If your card has been charged, my bet is that you will get your Watch on Friday. If you weren't getting yours until next week or the week after, they probably would not be charging your card yet. Hope this helped relieve your anxiety a little bit. (If I were in your situation, I'd have been just as anxious--hence this post.)

     

    Anticipation.... (for those of you who remember it, I am envisioning a ketchup commercial)...

    I Ordered the 42 space grey aluminum black band. I'm in Canada and my order went through 12:04pdt. Still in processing. anyone else in Canada see any changes?

    I Ordered the Apple watch with the classic black band  Now showing Preparing to Ship and credit card charged. I'm happy but it's still only a watch. Life will go on if I don't get it on Friday

    Hey Mark, I am exactly the same boat as you! 42MM Apple Watch, SS with black classic band. Credit card charged and preparing for shipment status. Fingers crossed for Friday. Life is realities! I'm writing this to you on my iPhone while lying on an emergency room gurney. Pulled or ripped a hamstring about 4 this afternoon and dropped like a box of rocks !  Oh well.. cheers!!!

    This is the same watch I ordered, except for the 42mm case. I still haven't changed over to "preparing to ship"

    Just decided to finally post on this. I ordered a 38mm SS with Black sports band. Received my confirmation email at 12:08 with shipment date of 4/24-5/8. So far I have been charged for Apple Care but nothing else. Just spoke with Apple on the phone and the rep oddly kept mentioning I will be apart of the first people to get my watch even though I hadn't been charged yet. I called simply because I saw the Apple Care charge go through on my gift card but didn't get a receipt and was actually guessing that was what it was until I actually called.

    just got off of the phone with apple they said that 95% of the space gray second wave will ship this week or next week
