Q: Apple Watch Shipping Notices

Just curious if anyone has received a shipping notice yet for their Apple Watch If they were lucky enough to get an early delivery date (24th). I know if is probably a bit early but worth asking.

I got my order on on 4/10 at 12:03 PST - at least that is the time on the email from Apple acknowledging the pre-order. And no, as of this evening my status has not changed from Processing Your Order to Preparing for Shipment.

I sincerely doubt if anyone will see that update until at the earliest next week. And even if they do ship, Apple's policy in the past for new releases is that the shipping company does not deliver before the release date. (Now I am sure that there are some stories about a mistaken early delivery - or perhaps a hefty tip to the UPS or FEDEX driver......)

    You should be excited. If they charged your credit card then you will see your order status change within 24 hours.

    I ordered 42mm Stainless Steel with Milanese Loop and my delivery was April 24th-May 8th

    Yup! I ordered mine 4/25. White 42mm White Sprts band and it originally said June Ship date but today showed a ship date of May14-May20

    HI, I have exactly the same order stainless steel, 42mm with black sport band. I got the confirmation email for the order at 3.05am on 10-apr, and still only in 'processing' mode. When did you get your confirmation?

    At least some people are getting their devices. I placed my order for a 38mm Space Gray Sport w/ Black Band at 12:13am on 4/10.  I received my confirmation email at 12:16am indicating 4-6 week shipping time with a delivery window of 5/13-5/27. 

     

    I haven't seen a single bit of movement on it yet. My order status remains "In Processing", no money has been removed from my account.

     

    I have to admit it's a bit on the frustrating side, as Apple is keeping mum on the whole process, and that kind of silence makes customers feel powerless.  It's just impatience on my part, but the frustration also comes from being told to order online (since no stock would be in stores on 4/24), only to learn that at least one luxury store per launch country had actual walk-in stock on 4/24.  It makes me feel like preorder customers (you know, the ones who provide the guaranteed money vs. "merely" likely purchase from walk-in customers in a brick-and-mortar store) are being treated as second-class citizens. The way it seems more fair to me is to insure that all preorders are met before you start releasing stock to brick-and-mortar stores.

    I got mine at about the same time today, Scott... 2:00-2:30ish.  Got home a little after 5:00 (left early - shhh) and started setting it up.  Took a 2m charging cable I ordered back to my local Apple Store and bought AppleCare+ for it while I was there.  Didn't realize they ship with 2m, so I ordered a 1m to replace the 2m and it will be here tomorrow.  Crazy the attention I've received already over it.  A woman in the Apple Store had a fit of excitement because I paid for the AppleCare+ with my Watch.  The guy ringing it up hadn't done it yet either and was impressed.  It went really fast!  Much faster than on the iPhone.  And a couple next to us in the restaurant we went to afterwards interrupted us to ask if we had Apple Watches, asked to describe what it was like, and the lady proceeded to tell her bf/husband that she definitely wanted one now. Sorry, dude! LOL

     

    The waiting has sucked, but it was worth the wait.  The good news is that the queues are moving up to ship sooner than expected and a lot of you are starting to get yours.  It's frustrating waiting and the way Apple is processing orders doesn't seem fair.  I think almost all of us can agree on that.  But they will come, and when they do you'll be happy.

    AT the rate Apple is shipping I will have my stand and my third-party band long before I get my watch. It's not nice to wake up expecting to see that you only have 35 days left to find out it says 45 days! Started out with June date. Now It's 4-6 weeks, May 29-June 11. Apple Watch Sport 42mm Space Grey Aluminium Case with Black Sport Band. Got my spare charger within 3 days of ordering. So I can charge my non-existent watch wherever I am!  Ooooooh. Apple. You really dropped the ball on this one. SMH

    Considering that a June date could mean any date in June, including June 30th, I would be happy with the improvement to late may-early June. Just saying...

    @Fanuihl where did you order the third party band, If already received it, is it good in quality?

    Is it worth buying?
