Q: Apple Watch Shipping Notices

Just curious if anyone has received a shipping notice yet for their Apple Watch If they were lucky enough to get an early delivery date (24th). I know if is probably a bit early but worth asking.

I got my order on on 4/10 at 12:03 PST - at least that is the time on the email from Apple acknowledging the pre-order. And no, as of this evening my status has not changed from Processing Your Order to Preparing for Shipment.

I sincerely doubt if anyone will see that update until at the earliest next week. And even if they do ship, Apple's policy in the past for new releases is that the shipping company does not deliver before the release date. (Now I am sure that there are some stories about a mistaken early delivery - or perhaps a hefty tip to the UPS or FEDEX driver......)

    Are the link bracelets just as bad?   I didn't realise that.   I take it that's what you're waiting for?   i feel for you!

     

    i Maybe should have qualified that mine is the bright blue leather LOOP, not the blue buckle.   Although in saying that I haven't noticed anyone waiting for the buckle either.   Most folks who aren't going for the Milanese or Link seem to be choosing either black or white.   Which I can understand I suppose as those colours probably go with most things they might be wearing, lol

     

    THink I might order a pink buckle strap after a bit tho, I quite like the idea of changing the look of my watch regularly.   Is anyone else buying multiple straps?

    GGhostgrill- I ordered the blue leather loop as well.  42mm case , confirmation at xx:05, and nothing since. delivery window is 5/13-27. ive been hoping for some early movement, but no luck.

     

    also a note, I ordered a large band, but after trying on in store realized it was huge. Ordered a medium blue leather loop and have June shipping. So I ordered a sport band to tide me over until I can exchange the band that I mis-sized.

     

    im assuming it's our blue leather bands that are holding things up. it's quite nice in person, though!

    TThanks Jourdan!   Yes I ordered the medium loop as well and also have a June estimate.   Looks really good on my wrist and feels comfortable too.   But I agree that it apears to be the band that's causing the delay as I haven't yet heard of a single individual who's received one yet.   I'm in Scotland by the way just in case you were wondering if the blue loops were shifting faster anywhere else in the world

    I ordered a SS 38MM BSB and got a delivery date of 20-28 May. Still processing... I choose the sports band cause i figured most people are waiting for their watches due to 1 when their watch is in stock and 2 when their band is in stock so I tried to choose the one I thought would be here soonest. Once Apple gets caught up with their stock I plan on ordering at least 2 more bands.

    Ghostgirl, I ordered the ss ban 42mm, and also order the Milanese band, that band is due in June. My watch was ord 4-10 7:30 am est, still processing.

    How often does Apple update the site?  Daily or multiple times each day?

    I think Apple has gone with getting the Models they deemed would be most popular out first, Aluminium Space Grey with black or white sports bands, and SS with black or white sports bands seem to be on the move.   I also think that the 38mm of both those options are doing really well, for those who've ordered them, here in the UK I've spoken to people who got the 38mm on Launch Day (24th).

    WHat site are you talking about, Larry?   If it's the Spreadsheet then that has nothing to do with Apple, someone with a bit of techy knowledge just put that up and asked people to update their order status as they get shipping info for their watches.

    Yes, the link bracelets seem to impossible to find. I have not read anywhere that they have been sent out. What I dont understand is that I purchased the most expensive model outside of the watch edition and I am still waiting without any progress. Not sure how that works? I would have figured they would have wanted those on the street sooner....

    i've been thinking exactly the same thing, ordered one of the most expensive Watches, and...  well, let's just say we certainly aren't paying for a more "upmarket" service

    Nope, still in processing limbo but to be fair it quoted 4-6 weeks when I ordered so not getting as angry as some on here have!!

    Mine shows "June", no further information after that. I went to an Apple store, last week, to try it on. The salesman told me, expect a delay with those link bands, each one is hand polished and takes 9 hours to make. I have no problem waiting for a quality product.

    This spreadsheet absolutely fascinates me. The 42 mm SS with link band has had no progress at all. It makes me wonder that something else is wrong or there was very poor planning.....thanks for sharing
